Bedside Manner isn't my first band. My first foray into music making was making ambient music. I used to stay up late into the night, trying to make the best stuff I could. I was really carefree about it, and it was exciting. Mostly this was just me wrestling with the box, trying to figure things out. I also started trying to take my guitar more seriously at this time. The combination of my guitar musings and ambient dabblings led to the creation of Bedside Manner. I wanted to give these old tunes a home. Sometimes its nice to see where you've come from.

I named the project Scarecrow because in high school I was deathly skinny and also I had a crow land on my shoulder one day when I was walking.
